Brenda Holder
Interim Preaching Pastor
Pastor Brenda Holder came into pastoral ministry late in life, having been a stay-at-home mom; a preschool, public school, college, and adult education teacher; and the executive director of a nonprofit Head Start agency. She was born in Little Rock but grew up around the Malvern and Hot Springs areas.
Pastor Brenda graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor’s and master’s in home economics, and, later, a doctorate in education. She furthered her education at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary where she received a master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy and a Master of Divinity degree in 2018. She has since pastored churches in Missouri and in NW Arkansas.
Pastor Brenda is mom to four grown children and “Gigi” to nine granddaughters. She loves people, studying and teaching the Word, music, entertaining, reading, and sewing, along with a host of other interests. She’s been serving joyfully as interim pulpit supply pastor at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church since January of 2024.
